Privacy Policy

TL;DR: LifeOS is a productivity app. We collect what you give us to make the app work. We don't sell your data. We don't track you across the web. Your data is yours.
1. Who We Are
LifeOS is built and operated by Tewedros Girma (ABN pending), based in Melbourne, Australia. When we say "we", "us", or "our", we mean LifeOS.
2. What Data We Collect
We only collect data that you directly provide:
- Account info: Email address (for login via Supabase Auth, Google OAuth, or magic link)
- Profile data: Name, avatar, and preferences you set in the app
- App data: Goals, tasks, habits, journal entries, health metrics, financial records, and any other content you create in LifeOS
- Payment info: If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe handles your payment details. We never see or store your card number.
3. What We Don't Collect
- We don't use tracking pixels, third-party analytics, or advertising SDKs
- We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone
- We don't read your journal entries, goals, or health data for any purpose other than displaying them to you
4. How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored in Supabase (built on PostgreSQL), hosted in Sydney, Australia (ap-southeast-2). Supabase provides:
- Row Level Security (RLS) — you can only access your own data
- Encryption at rest and in transit
- SOC 2 Type II compliance
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe to LifeOS Pro:
- Your payment details go directly to Stripe — we never handle them
- Stripe stores your card info under their PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure
- We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status — nothing more
6. AI Features
LifeOS includes an AI assistant. When you use it:
- Your messages are sent to our AI backend for processing
- We don't store conversation history beyond what's needed for the current session
- Your data is not used to train AI models
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Access all your data at any time through the app
- Export your data (Pro feature)
- Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
- Correct any inaccurate data directly in the app
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. No tracking cookies. No cookie banner needed because we're not doing anything shady.
9. Data Retention
Your data stays as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove all your data within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days before being purged.
10. Children
LifeOS is not intended for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as LifeOS evolves. Significant changes will be communicated in-app. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
